Style and Fashion

The two concepts of "style" and "fashion" confused me many times and I thought of analysing the concept. So, here is what my thought process concluded

• Style is at a personal level. Fashion is at a society / cultural level.
• Style is governed by personal tastes, mental and economic setup of an individual. Fashion is governed by society and industry, and even films, media, etc.
• Change of style is a gradual process and depending on the change of tastes and economic condition of a person. Change in fashion is more frequent.
• Some styles (however wierd they may be) become a fashion.

So, the bottomline is that "consistency is the factor that differentiates style from fashion"
